Do you still remember the movie Happy Feet? Well, I came across the music store and I saw the soundtrack of Happy Feet. One thing that comes to my mind is how this movie really made me happy. I enjoyed this movie and it will surely make kids dance on their feet as well. One part I really enjoyed most is when Mumble sang the song “My Way” to Gloria. I mean Ramon is actually the one who sang it and not Mumble. But, that part is really funny. You know why? It is because if you love someone, you’ll do anything just to win her heart.
“Happy Feet” is a movie that tells about the lives of penguins in Antarctica and a whole bunch of other crazily-funny penguins. It is a place where singing is being equated to being a penguin, the storyline focuses on the lives of a family of penguins that has a problem with their kid Mumble’s tap dancing. Another movie creatively thought about by Warner Brothers/Village Roadshow, paired with a soundtrack containing generous range of songs that will go along with all of the viewers of the movie.
One of the soundtrack artists is Jason Mraz. He has been known for his unique voice and the oozing charisma that comes with his package. Though still young at heart, and with his youth radiating with every strum of his guitar, he is in a way, veteran enough to woo his fans in his live performances, in his music videos and virtually in all of his songs. He first made his name in 2002 with his album “Waiting for my Rocket to Come” and his chart-busting song “Remedy”.
As known by most of his fans, he went from state and state before landing himself in the coffee-house scene; wherein most if his fans adore him because of his exquisite music. Now, Jason Mraz goes beyond astonishing lyrics and vocal prowess, out of the United States, into the Antarctic and ultimately out of the place where humans live.
Jason Mraz sings the song “The Joker” with a rare mash up with Chrissie Hynde for the said movie. The mash up had been receiving commendation for its energy and it seems that it is perfectly fit for the funny antics of the motion picture.
Critics also put emphasis in the participation of Prince in the soundtrack, with him writing the song entitled “The Song of the Heart”. The record also shows off with the closing track “The Story of Mumble Happyfeet” written and produced by motion picture scorer John Powell. Other artists that performed in the soundtrack, who are both contemporary music artists and comes from the cast of characters are: fresh Brittany Murphy, Pink, Robin Williams, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, K.D. Lang, Patti Labelle and a lot more.
The soundtrack album of “Music from the Motion Picture: Happy Feet” is one of the great soundtracks we can dedicate to the kids we love. The movie and its soundtrack is surely a hit for the kids and they will enjoy watching and listening to it as well.
